The twins Nandi and Kyande were both born into the human rebellion against the Lodes. In the second book in this series, Kyande goes back in time with upgrades to his previous enhancements to ensure the timeline stays intact. In the last adventure of the Rooftop Club, Principal Owens disbanded all the 'unofficial' clubs at school. This left everyone in school including the Rooftop club without anyone to hang out with after school. Everyone followed the rule except for the Crew. Read this adventure to find out whether the Rooftop club returns or whether the crew prevails.

#15 FeFe the Hot Librarian is the first book in the Hot Freshman 15 Series. The series is set in Chicago in a fictional place, Rose High School. The series starts off with a character named Felicia that gets her name added to a list of Freshman girls that is considered to be the hottest girls in school. Felicia hates dealing with all of the drama that is associated with being on the list, and ends up having to overcome many difficulties. This book deals with the drama, jealousy, and violence that many young women have to encounter. This book is recommended for young women between the ages of 11-16 for recreational reading. It was recommended as an easy reader for tweens and teens by Bailey’s Blog.
The hardest conversation for single fathers to have with their daughters is about hygiene. Therefore, I decided to write a book that fathers could use with their daughters to start an important and much needed talk with their young daughters. Every parent wants their child to internalize good habits related to taking care of themselves. However, for some girls this can be journey if these habits aren’t taught on a regular basis. Below is an excerpt from the guide to give you an example of what is included in this publication:

As little girls get older, one of the first things that they notice is that they begin to smell differently. If they don’t notice, someone else usually does. This can be extremely embarrassing to go from being a kid that just needs a bath to needing to use products, and using them correctly. Little girls may notice that they are sweating underneath their arms or between their legs. Their legs that used to be smooth and soft like babies are now course and require care. This is when girls need to be taught to care for themselves continuously and on a schedule. I do not advocate doing a woman’s day, and then expecting girls to pick up everything they need to know in one session. They need to be continually taught how to care for themselves. Let’s start with a daily routine:

Morning Routine

Supplies:
Girls need to start taking showers by age ten. They need their own soap, a hand towel, house coat, towel, deodorant, antiperspirant and lotion.

Evening
Girls need to take a bath every night. They need to learn to clean themselves properly. Then moisturize their body with lotion.

My hope is that this guide will help fathers talk to their daughters about this important topic.
You can download this eguide on Barnes and Noble or wherever ebooks are sold for $1.99. You can also buy the print version of the book for $5.99.

Whenever I get asked this question I usually answer from different perspectives. I am a former teacher, an author, and a god mother. From the perspective of being a former teacher, I don’t understand how bullying can be allowed to occur in schools. This is something that I addressed year round in my classroom. I had a strict ‘no violence’ policy and I enforced that policy everyday. It may sound harsh. However, I truly believe that every child has the right the come to school and learn in safe environment. As an author, I address the issue because I travel all over the country and bullying is a problem in almost every school. I wrote my book about bullying in order to give students a way to address these issues with their parents, teachers, and peers. As a god mother, I have addressed the issue of bullying with my god daughter. I want to make sure that she understands ways to deal with bullies and ensure that she can go to school and feel safe. I look forward to touring this book and holding discussions with schools about this important issue.
I always tell parents the same things. You should not think of reading in terms of length. Otherwise kids will read for whatever time you ask and then put the book down. You should get your child to think of reading in terms of reading books, magazines, etc. that they enjoy. The one thing that we all can agree on is that children that are avid readers tend to read for enjoyment. They read without being told to pick up a book, read for fun, read as a hobby, read for hours on end, and read book after book after book. Let me know if you want resources to aid your child in their reading journey. The Golden Butterfly Reviewhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08458156940530298345noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4527022793903717956.post-90700426768976250932010-11-15T00:28:00.000-08:002011-12-07T06:06:46.288-08:00RE: How can I get my two year old interested in learning?<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 191px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgzSITKWO_WgpzblRMQclwVAoQJBJwne0LZ7lFq6IleG1SUj07vPGl0gGiyZ9Ewia1ogvCcWKNIbJ2ZnPy8bMfe1vbO7jKgnyd2t1xuZLUFOlxpMWzGpn8YbiY70H55SkpIiUY0sOdPA1Ax/s320/pattern+2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5683387641015164498" />

I received this question via facebook from a curious parent. My answer is that:

Babies are naturally curious about the world. So, you do not have to get your baby to learn in tradional ways. You can do some non-traditional activities with your baby to pique or enhance their ability to explore. There are a number of ways to help children learn concepts early. So, I will list a few:

1) Have you ever seen the way small children react to bright colors in paint? You should purchase some non-toxic, washable paint, and hold your baby while they finger paint. When you're child is done allow the picture to dry and put it in a frame as your babies first artwork. Hang the picture in a visable place. This is some of their first exposure to colors.

2) You can follow up this lesson by taking a nature walk, and teaching them colors by saying grass is green or a tree is brown. This will help the kids to relate to concepts in a nontraditional way.

3) You should purchase and read board books to your baby. Board books are designed for the wear and tear that young children place on books. This will allow the children to flip through the pages, and explore books when you are not around.

4) You can build your child's vocabulary by taking them in the grocery store with you when you go shopping. You can point to labels when loading food in the grocery cart. This will help your children learn to read labels of their favorite foods.

5) You should get your child writing materials to use at home. This will help them to begin to learn to handle a pen, pencil, marker, and crayon. These are essential skills for school. (Please monitor your child when using these materials.) We wouldn't want young children to mistake the wall for a canvas.

Looking forward to more questions and feedback!The Golden Butterfly Reviewhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08458156940530298345noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4527022793903717956.post-14667554265631453472010-10-26T06:15:00.000-07:002011-12-07T06:01:58.157-08:00Book Give-away winners<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 154px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh1wg00IgkMS-MrI56-V5-7DO1UKD566VoLBi9R70LXXDMJockAXSKhiSz4MA5bL072IQPPorkWQVjVK3GbIDYYyyaj1BRM5RAJb5hcAmEFadyNOIHzyv1OIHSjtNLdxN7lKp0cotD46cfq/s200/Patterns-are-Everywhere.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5683386297385141554" />

Hello everyone,

I know that you are anxious to know who the winners of the book give-away are for my newest book release "For those who stare at the moon".
